Founded in 1946 in Germany, GÖLZ specializes in developing and manufacturing diamond tools, as well as drilling and sawing equipment for the construction industry. GÖLZ Holding, headquartered in Austria, operates seven subsidiaries worldwide, with production facilities in Germany and China. Our products are exported to over 40 countries, aiming to provide professional solutions globally. With more than seventy years of experience, GÖLZ has become a market leader, offering cutting machines and innovative solutions for drilling and sawing in concrete and other building materials .
In recent years Golz have developed market leading battery generator solution as we bring our technical experience to the transition from fossil fuel-powered to electric-powered solutions, and prioritizing safety, efficiency, environmental protection, and innovation.

History of Gölz

2024

Gölz merged the production of drilling motors and high-frequency drilling and sawing equipment with Dr. Bender, securing its position as an industry leader in drilling motor development and production.

2022

Golz introduced the innovative BattPak 5048, a mobile battery generator designed to provide portable electric power to machines for virtually every application. Gölz set a new standard for portable and sustainable power in construction and many other industries as the first company to offer robust, industrial quality, weatherproof battery generator solutions.

2016

The company partnered strategically with the Dr. Bender company, an electric tool manufacturer with over 80 years of history.

2013

Gölz welcomed new investors and became part of the ZENT Group, ushering in a new era of innovation and growth.

1993

Gölz established a new sales subsidiary, GÖLZ S.à.r.l.- Strasbourg, France, to strengthen its presence in the French market.

1990

Gölz expanded internationally, founding GÖLZ Benelux in Belgium and GÖLZ Inc. in the United States. Since 2001, the U.S. branch has operated as Golz LLC, based in Columbia, Missouri.

1989

Gölz launched its own dedicated business line for construction equipment and diamond tools.

1987

Following the acquisition of the company TTS-Austria, GÖLZ relocated its diamond tool development and production to Salzburg, Austria.

1986

Gölz founded its UK sales subsidiary, GÖLZ (UK) Ltd, to serve the British market.

1982

Gölz ventured into the development and production of drilling segments and core drills, further expanding its offerings in construction equipment.

1981

Gölz expanded its portfolio by acquiring Schütte Machines in Düsseldorf, adding floor saws, stone-cutting machines, and concrete processing equipment to its product range. That same year, GÖLZ Ges.m.b.H was established in Austria as a sales subsidiary.

1968

The company developed and launched its first machine in pipe and sewage drilling for house connections and surface water, the GÖLZ KB300, powered by a STIHL 2-stroke engine. The GÖLZ-KB300 remains a market leader to this day.

1949

Gölz partnered with the renowned chainsaw manufacturer STIHL, becoming a STIHL distributor in the Rhine region.

1946

Siegfried Gölz founded the company as a sole proprietorship, initially focusing on logging and the timber trade.
